Initial Approach:

Prospective grant applicants should download the Grant Proposal Summary sheet from www.LFCPF.org Applicants should email the completed Grant Proposal Summary to info@LFCPF.org. After review, we will advise if we are interested in reviewing a full grant application.

Application Information:

LFPCF staff will contact applicants who submitted the Grant Proposal Summary form to invite the applicant to submit a formal grant request. Applicants must complete and submit a typed copy of the full grant application that includes the following information:
  • Proposal Summary
  • Grant Narrative
  • Program/Project Budget
  • Attachments

Review Process

After the grant application period closes, the executive director will review grant applications and supporting documentation in the order of receipt, which will occur at the end of the application period. The executive director will meet with the board president to determine if the applicants meet the basic eligibility requirements. The applicants who don’t meet the basic requirements will be notified via e-mail. The applicants who meet the basic requirements will be forwarded to the selection committee (appointed board members) for review. The selection committee will make a unanimous decision on the applicants who will receive grants. LFCPF will place the greatest emphasis on grantees who demonstrate the greatest financial need and who makes the greatest impact on the community.

Award Notification

The Perry's Foundation Board of Directors and the Selection Committee will make a public announcement quarterly. The board and committee will post an announcement as follows:
  • Olney Enterprise Newspaper
  • On the website: www.LFCPF.org
  • PSAs and press releases submitted to local radio and television stations
Final notification:Within six to eight weeks after receipt of the full grant application

Ineligibility Notice

Family members of the Perry's Foundation Board of Directors and Grant Awards Selection Committee are ineligible for grants and scholarships. The members will be asked to confirm their familial status with the applicants and the attestation will be documented in the minutes.

Payment Terms

If the grant is awarded, LFCPF will authorize the release of funds payable directly to the organization at the beginning of the program/project. At the discretion of the board, LFCPF may elect to pay half of the requested funds to start the program/project. Halfway through the process, the organization will be required to submit an interim report. After review, the foundation will award the second installment. At the end of the program/project, the organization is required to submit a final report.

Reporting

LFCPF requires grantees to submit fiscal accounting and narrative reports on the use of the grant and the impact the grant may have had on the community it serves. Therefore, the selection committee requests an interim report midway through the program/project, and a final report after the completion of the program/project. Reporting guidelines will be established in the award notification letter.

Grant Uses

Grantees must agree to use the funds for the purposes noted in the proposal. Grantees will be required to submit an interim report and a final report upon completion of the project. Applicants should submit their completed proposal and supporting materials to: The Perry's Foundation, Inc.

We must receive grant requests by 5:00 p.m. on or before the deadline date. If the deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, requests are due on the weekday immediately preceding that weekend or holiday.
